Terms of Service & End User Licence Agreement

Agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Tefflabs ("we", "us") covering the Streff desktop application ("Streff", "the app"). By installing or using Streff you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Streff on computers you own or control, for the purpose of managing your own live streams.

You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute Streff, remove or alter any notices in it, or use it to build a competing product. Reverse engineering is permitted only to the extent applicable law says it cannot be excluded.

Streff Free and Streff Pro

Streff has a free version and a paid subscription, Streff Pro, which adds extra features. What each version includes is listed on streff.tv and may change as Streff develops.

Using Streff, free or Pro, needs a Streff account, which is free to create. You are responsible for keeping its sign-in details safe and for what is done with it. Once a computer is signed in, Streff keeps working on it without reaching us.

A Pro licence belongs to your Streff account and can be used on a limited number of your own computers at a time, shown in Settings → Streff Pro. Streff checks your licence with Tefflabs from time to time. If it cannot reach us for 14 days, Streff carries on as the free version until it can, and it never switches mid-stream.

Payment

Pro is sold monthly, for 6 months, or yearly. Orders are handled by our reseller, Stripe, which is the seller of record and sells to you as Link ("Sold through Link"): it takes your payment, adds any VAT or sales tax that applies, and sends your receipt. Your card statement shows LINK.COM. Prices are set in pounds; at checkout you may see them converted to your own currency. Link's terms apply to your purchase alongside these terms.

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. If the price changes, we will tell you before the new price applies to you, so you can cancel first if you want to.

Free trial

New subscribers can try Pro free for 7 days. Starting a trial needs a payment card; when the trial ends your subscription starts and is charged unless you cancel before then. There is one trial per person: a trial is refused if your Twitch account or your computer has had one before.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time in your Streff account on streff.tv, or through Link at app.link.com. You choose how:

• At the end of the current period: Pro keeps working until the time you have paid for runs out, then stops. Nothing more is charged.
• Straight away: Pro stops now. The rest of the period is not refunded, and using Pro again means starting a new paid subscription.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by our reseller under its own policies and the consumer law where you live, including any cooling-off period that applies to you. Apart from that, we do not refund payments, including the unused part of a period.

If something has gone wrong on our side — for example you were charged twice, or a fault in Streff stopped Pro from working — contact [email protected] and we will put it right, with a refund where that is fair. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Discount codes and partner licences

A discount code gives only what it says when issued (for example, a percentage off for a set number of months), cannot be exchanged for cash, and may have an expiry date or a limit on how many times it can be used.

Partner licences are free Pro licences we give to streamers who work with us, for the period agreed with them. They end at the end of that period unless we renew them.

Your account and content

Streff acts on your Twitch channel and other connected services using credentials you provide. Everything the app does with them — messages sent, viewers moderated, rewards created, overlays shown, text spoken aloud — is done on your behalf and is your responsibility, including compliance with the terms of the services it connects to (for example the Twitch Terms of Service and Community Guidelines, and the YouTube Terms of Service).

Text-to-speech and chat overlays read out or display what other people type. You are responsible for the filters and moderation you choose to run, and for what ends up on your stream.

Third-party services

Streff is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Twitch Interactive, Inc., Google LLC / YouTube, the OBS Project, 7TV, GIPHY or Microsoft. Those services have their own terms, may change or withdraw their APIs at any time, and we are not responsible for anything they do or stop doing.

No warranty

Streff is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Live streaming is unforgiving; test your setup before you go live.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tefflabs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss — including lost revenue, lost subscribers, downtime, or damage to your channel's standing — arising from your use of, or inability to use, Streff. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Termination

You may stop using Streff at any time by uninstalling it. Ending a Pro subscription ends Pro only; you can keep using the free version. We may end this licence, including any Pro subscription, if you breach these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (no warranty, limitation of liability) survive termination.

Changes

We may update these terms when the app changes. The date at the top is the version that applies; continuing to use Streff after an update means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute — unless the consumer law of the country you live in gives you rights that cannot be taken away, in which case those rights are unaffected.
